Strictly speaking, the title isn’t entirely accurate—it’s actually blue and yellow. Blue window frames and a yellow facade. Just like our photographer’s outfit on the day of the shoot. Purely coincidental, by the way. And the seller must have thought, just like in that same song: Everythin’ I do, yeah, I do it big. Because they went for a full renovation where absolutely everything was updated. Downstairs, you'll find new floors with underfloor heating. The kitchen is brand new, and the bathroom was designed with so much space that you could easily add a bathtub if you wanted to (with plenty of room left for a washer and dryer). All windows were replaced with triple glazing, keeping both street noise and high energy bills firmly out. Across the upper floors, there are four bedrooms. Here, the original wooden floors were sanded down, and the authentic marble decorative fireplaces were preserved. Besides having a jewel of a front yard (Krugerplein), the living space opens up to an outdoor area perfect for growing flowers and plants. Or even a tomato, ready to harvest straight from the kitchen. Anything you’d rather keep out of sight simply disappears into the cellar.
