Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
House Hunter (operated by W-Tech IT Solutions) aggregates publicly listed Belgian real estate adverts and delivers matching listings to people who create an alert. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have under the GDPR.
What we collect
Account data: your name, email address and a hashed password when you register. Alert data: the search criteria, favourites and alert schedule you configure. Acquisition data: the campaign or referrer that first brought you to the site (e.g. a utm_source parameter), stored with your account so we understand how people find us.
Usage data: with your consent, we load Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to measure how the site is used. Without consent these tools are never loaded. Our web server also keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, browser identifier) for security and capacity purposes.
What we use it for
To deliver the service you asked for: matching listings against your saved searches and emailing you the results (legal basis: performance of a contract). To process payments for the Pro plan through Stripe — we never see or store your card details (performance of a contract). To improve the product using aggregated analytics (consent). To secure the platform against abuse (legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
Stripe (payments), Brevo (transactional and alert emails), Cloudflare (content delivery and DDoS protection), and — only after you consent — Google Analytics and Meta. We do not sell personal data. Listing data shown on the site comes from public property portals and belongs to the original advertisers.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists and removed when you delete it or after a prolonged period of inactivity. Server logs rotate automatically after 14 days. Analytics data follows the retention settings of Google Analytics (14 months).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and you can withdraw analytics consent at any time (the cookie banner reappears after clearing your choice). To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
